Do I actually need to bring a briefcase or would a leather-covered folder suffice as the only accessory I need? Of course it would contain 10-15 copies of both my transcript and resume (as necessary).

I just bring the leather-covered folder. Gets the job done without being too cumbersome

Same reasoning. I mean what else do you really need? Plus you don't need to carry around a big bag full of nothing.
