"Are you interested in any of our other offices?"

What is the consensus with this question at an interview? Or, more generally, if the firm coming to OCI is interviewing for multiple offices including cities V, X, Y, but you're also interested in city Z, should you note that in the cover letter? Or is that a death knell for your chances at that firm? Is there a blanket answer or is it a case by case thing?

Thanks for the help.

For a more specific example, if a firm is coming to campus to interview for Charlotte and NYC (and not for DC) but you're also interested in their DC office, would it be wise to note that at the interview or in the cover letter? Would the answer change if the firm was only interviewing for one office?
