Akin Gump (NY) rejection by e-mail.

Pretty sure the rest of mine will just be eventual rejections. Still ok with my results. Not great, but ok. I'll post more when/if I get an offer.

So far I'm 7/18 with 3 actual rejections (email or snail), 4 soft rejects (people posting on here that they got a CB), and 4 outstanding (including Hogan DC, W&C, the weird A&P situation, and one other firm).

How's everyone else doing?

Why can't W&C just put me out of my misery?

top 10% + LR, also just got dinged from jones day and hogan lovells. i've got 7 cb's so i can't complain too much, but i've learned that good grades +passable personality doesn't mean you're going to get cb's everywhere.

Yeah not really sure what they're looking for-- last year they took 3 people from GULC, all with 3.8s. I'm just below that, but with secondary journal. They're a great firm, but not that great.

So far I got 2 rejections, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get 0 callbacks. Not unexpected but still sucks.

DC is brutal, even if you have good grades.

It's sobering to walk up to an interview room and see that basically everyone on the list has good creds, and the interviewer has to pick like two or three of them.

What should I be thinking if I see on this forum that people have received rejections from firms I have interviewed with but have heard nothing (positive or negative). Am I on some sort of "waitlist" for callbacks or should I just eventually expect a rejection?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
