Resume - List offer from 1L SA?

OCS resume guidelines from my school suggest that we write "offer extended for summer 2012" or "permanent offer extended" next to a 1L summer associate position if either situation applies. I'm not sure about that advice - wouldn't it be off-putting for another firm to read that during an interview? Although I can see how mentioning an offer on your resume helps you to avoid coming across as boastful by throwing that fact into the middle of a conversation about your summer job. Thoughts? Or advice for how (or if) to mention the offer during an OCI interview?

This thread is relevant to my interests. It seems as though the presence of a summer associate's position on a resume at all is significant evidence of an offer, so I could understand not wanting to explicitly specify that in a way that comes off as arrogant. But under no circumstances do I want to give firms the impression that I failed to pull an offer out of the 1L SA pozish. Maybe best to just make sure you work it into conversation? Thought? Experiences?

From my experience, there is no reason to put that on your resume. Every interview I had asked about my time at my previous firm and whether or not I'd been extended an offer to come back.
