Strange Question about Callback Reimbursements

Wondering if I could get someones opinion on this...
I had what I suppose was a screening interview at a large firm back in the Spring. I have a solid connection and the hiring partner invited me back for full interviews. I scheduled the full interviews with the recruiting director Ill be going back in Aug. before OCI interviews even happen. The RD never said anything to me about reimbursement for the flight back. Should I assume that I will be paying for the travel on my own since it seems like they made an exception for me? Or should I just wait and see how the interview goes?
Normally I wouldn't care and would just be stoked to get the full interviews but 1L summer of public service has left me broke.
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated

Hi _____,

Thank you for setting up the interview in [month]. I was about to book my flight to [city] from [law school city], and I was wondering whether the firm usually reimburses for travel expenses. If so, please let me know what the firm policies are or if there is a specific travel agency I should contact.

Thanks again, and I look forward to seeing you in [month].
