if you mean luck as in getting a screener, then yeah

Top 1/3 or so at UT. Got 2 screeners from mass mails during the summer just recently for a non-TX secondary market where I have ties. I'm a horrible phone interviewer though, so I doubt anything will come from them.

Yes. Have Paul Hastings CB scheduled for next week. Had 4 CB's last week. Some firms mentioned that they were coming up on the end of their recruiting cycles, but others said they are willing to do CB's a bit longer. For example, clifford chance asked me to just do a screener this past week, which would mean that the CB wouldn't be until next week at the earlier, and likely later.

If you don't mind sharing, how did you get the CC screener? Did they respond to mass mail? If so, when did you mail? Thanks.

Just got a phone call today for a phone interview with a firm I applied to in July. Apparently it's not too late. I'm at a T25 top 30%.

NY CB today after a a last minute panic mass mail wave last week. Top 15% at T30. While its probably game over for some firms, I think there are definitely other firms that haven't filled classes and are reaching out or will be this week as offer deadlines lapse. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

Yeah it seems that way. They called me in insanely fast after I sent in a resume. They rejected me just as fast (within about 36 hours). Didn't really like it there, and didn't click at all with the hiring partner. Never had an interview with a person less receptive to what I was saying. But at least they give lots of people a shot.

You see this dude, http://abovethelaw.com/2011/09/students ... e-airport/ ?

I got insta-rejected too after my mass mail CB, but Gilman was actually super nice to to me (told me explicitly this was a low stress interview after I stumbled at the beginning) and spent the whole interview basicallytelling me how great Cahill was. Maybe he was nice since he was so sure he didn't want me? That was my first biglaw interview ever of any type and I had no real idea what I was doing.

I wonder if they were highly selective initially and now have a low yield?
