any firms that take below median GPA?

As I am looking at my school's OCI, the gpa ranges are way above my gpa - I'm a 3.1 at GW, straight from undergrad (median is 3.2, firms asking for 3.4 and above). What should my strategy be? Should I forget about working at a law firm? Should I focus on solo practices or PI interest jobs? I don't care about Vault prestige, I'd take any summer associate job but it seems like every firm is asking for top rank and journal.

Our school doesn't post gpa ranges, so was wondering if anyone has any idea if firms go below median at a T20 school?

They do on occasion, but it's hard to know which ones and how often.

Do you have anything else that makes you stand out?

hmm nothing I can include here on TLS w/out outing. I'm from Europe, but I'm not sure that is relevant b/c of the low gpa. And I have no technical background for IP, or any solid legal work experience. I"m just thinking if I should waste time on cover letters for OCI or start focusing on solo firms, pi, or odd jobs on symplicity :/ OCI under median sucks
