Anyone know of any firms that are known to be particularly friendly to transfer students? I know some even prefer transfers because of their work ethic. I have heard in CA Latham is particularly transfer friendly.... anyone else?

Good question, and one that I'm interested in hearing responses to.
It might help to identify your school range - both the school you came from and the school you went to. That might make a difference, I don't know. Plus the region.
I'm making the move from a T1 school to UCLA, and I'm lost right now. I've got a phone appointment with OCS next week. I'm looking at either southern California or New York. I'd prefer the former but don't think I should ignore the latter.

Coming from a T50-60 and going to UCLA/USC; I spoke to career services at both schools and they both said that if you would have gotten interviewed at your old school then your transfer status will not reflect negatively. UCLA definitely has more NYC firms coming and I think coming from a T1 school will not hurt you. Probably avoid the hardcore firms like Irell & Munger but I think everything else is fair game. Good luck!
