rising 3L here, was wondering if anyone knew anything about bankruptcy practice groups. particulary interested in exit options, as it seems they would not really have developed the skillset for in-house positions. am also curious about the stress/hours (like if its more similar to corporate with peaks and valleys of unpredictable work, or more like litigation)

Hours are more like litigation than it is, say, M&A; but stuff does come up suddenly and urgently the way it does with corporate work, so it's not quite as steady/predictable as litigation.
As for exit options, you're pretty much going to be a bankruptcy attorney, so your exit would be to another firm that does bankruptcy work, most likely. Sort of like litigation in that regard, as well.

I've head of exits into business / HF / PE type environments from big firm BK, because a lot of places are making money (or trying to) by investing in distressed institutions. I have no idea how common this is, but it was news to me when I heard it, so that's something.
