Top Law Schools

I am currently on a secondary journal, and have been invited to join another secondary (haven't heard from law review yet). The problem is that I have to accept the new invitation in a few days, and I'm having a hard time deciding what to do.

Considerations:
- I am pretty confident that I graded onto law review.
- I have zero interest in the topic of the journal I'm currently on, but am kind of interested in the topic of the new journal.
- The new journal would require slightly more work than my current journal (more training, plus they publish one more issue per year than the one I am on now).
- Aside from my grades/journal experience, my resume is pretty weak (no work experience prior to my 1L summer internship, which is pretty standard as far as 1L internships go).
- If it makes any difference, my school is currently ranked #50.

So, what should I do?

It seems crazy (not to mention greedy) to try to do a secondary on top of law review. If you accept the new secondary now will you be committed to it even if you get on to LR? When will LR invites come out?

I haven't been able to find a conclusive answer as to whether I will be held to accepting the new invitation. Also, I asked when the law review invitations will be sent out, but was not given a decisive answer. So I can't count on receiving my invitation before the deadline for accepting the invitation to this new secondary journal.

If for some reason I don't make law review, would it then be a good idea to do both secondary journals? I would hate to have turned down the secondary that I like, and be stuck with only the secondary that I'm currently on if law review doesn't pan out. This decision would be much easier with a law review invitation in hand.

Nothing really to add other than it's absolutely bush league for that secondary journal to make you accept or decline before LR invitations go out. I've never heard of that before.
