3.7 MVP - DC?

Reading some of the OCI tips has made me kind of wary of spending all of my bids on DC firms, even though I have absolutely no interest in being in NYC, have ties to DC, and have good reasons (aside from personal ties) that I want to practice there instead of New York.
I've thrown a couple of NY firms into my bid list already as a kind of buffer, but the split is probably about 90/10 in favor of DC. Is this a problem? Should I be bidding on more NY firms?
As background, I came straight from undergrad and am working for a judge this summer. Also, my school does not release ranks/percentiles, but I've heard that my GPA puts me around top 10%ish. No idea about journal yet.
