Vault subscription: worth it?

I am contemplating subscribing for the Vault Gold Membership in preparing for OCI, but must say that I am a little deterred by the price.
In your experience, would the advantage gained in bidding and interview preparation be worth the money?
Is there an alternate source for same/similar information? Is there a free/more affordable resource that is useful?

Chambers & Associates is about ten times more helpful if you are contemplating the larger firms.

Your law school should give you free access to the guide.

Your school should have a password. Ask career services for it.

It's possible your school will have a password.

If your school does not offer a subscription, is it worth the $45?

It's worth $45-worth of nagging your school to get you access.

No. Quite seriously.
You can view about 80% of the content with the free membership. Very few firms have multiple write-ups on Getting Hired or Employee Feedback that require the pay membership to view.
Chambers & Associates blows Vault out of the water on firm profiles. The only downside is that it's list is not as deep.

The write-ups on Chambers Associate are far more positive than the ones on Vault.

If this hasn't been mentioned, check out ATL's Career Center as well for firm write-ups (they may be slightly dated though -- they were created right after a lot of the layoffs in 2009).

yea u know gw is pretty ghetto...some sort of watered down educational vault "gold" version....it says vault gold but the format is all weird and doesnt have the forums or individual surveys.
