I noticed today that employers attending Vault MCCA Diversity Fair in DC can select people for interviews. I was wondering if anyone knew when those selections are typically made.

I just learned about the fair last week and so haven't submitted my finalized materials yet. Think all the selections have already gone out?

Where are you finding this information that employers can select? On the website, it says that there is no bid system for students.

Yes, but if you read the website it seems to suggest that employers may extend interview offers for the day of to select students.

I wasn't sure if this was accurate or if I was misreading something.

Edit: Found it - "Candidates will be notified if they have been selected for an interview prior to the event."

I'm hoping to get my stuff up later today. Did you have your transcript uploaded?

Also, if you don't mind, what were your stats generally and your URM status?

Submitted July 1st, have not heard anything back. I go to one MDVP.

Sorry for the late reply. I put my stuff up on July 1, so it did take a couple weeks for me to get any response. I got the ONE interview request and nothing else since...but I'm still happy with even that.

Yes, I posted my transcript.

A bit above median, no science bkground, strong local ties, minority but not URM.

nothing for me but i did a big big mistake of applying just this past weekend. Also...can we go even if we do not get selected ? Will it be just dropping by their table and awkwardly asking for an interview?

Haven't heard anything here. Just got my stuff up on Friday. Went with a resume, transcript and writing sample.

You can go if you don't get a pre-select, but then it's just that awkward table talk stuff (that said, I'll still be going). There's a free lunch too.

I had my stuff up by June 1st (I read on the website that that's when firms had access to the info, so made sure I had something by then, but I've since revised my resume and uploaded a revised version a few times). Both contacted me last week.
