Department of State Summer internship. It pays GS-9, which is fine for 2L summer gov work. Seems super competitive. I cannot find out if summer interns get hired full time, similar to SLIP, or if they don't.

Anyone have any knowledge of that or anything else regarding careers in State.

See http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3&t=151571. As far as I know, interns at L don't get full-time offers after the summer. They have to apply for post-graduation (often post-clerkship) attorney-adviser positions.
