Not that it should matter much, but of the firms that have known to fly its associates out to "fun events" / for interviewing, are there any firms that fly them in First Class? Or is it all Economy Class?

V5s usually spring for a G3 jet for their summers. Most V50s will spring for first class, but beware the V100s that sometimes require summers to fly business class. Boom times are over indeed.

Last summer an NLJ 250 firm once had an event in California and required its NYC summers to take greyhound cross country. One of the summers was killed in a knife fight at a rest stop in Idaho.

Was it a knife fight or a stabbing ? If a knife fight, then were all SAs given knives ?

Presumably this is an easy way for firms to avoid having to no offer their SAs.

I bet it was like that scene in
The Dark Knight where the Joker says there is an opening in the organization but only for one person, and drops the broken cue stick amidst the three guys.

If they were all carrying knives, then we know why they couldn't fly.

I'm flying for a firm event. I'm just excited about claiming the miles via AAdvantage.
