Taking Classes At Another Law School

A friend was discussing the possibility of enrolling in classes at another law school. This friend, a rising 2L, said that you can take courses at any other accredited law school and apply them towards your degree. Has anyone done this? Are there limitations from school to school? And, lastly, how would this appear to employers (how would you put it on resume, would they view this as a positive or negative, etc)?

I know that at Columbia we're allowed to do this for classes at NYU. A lot of schools have similar arrangements. However, I don't think that we're allowed to take classes at other schools in NYC (so, I don't think that your post is 100% correct about people from any law school being able to count classes from any other law school). I would imagine that employers don't care so long as there isn't a HUGE difference in the rankings from school to school.
