What's the best way to quickly learn a State's court rules?

We all learn FRCP in school, but are there any strategies for quickly familiarizing oneself with a particular state's rules of civ pro, evid, etc?
(aside from just reading the rules themselves, obviously)

The only possibilities I can even think of are
1) reading them
2) having someone read them to you
3) osmoses
4) maybe there's an app for that?

This seems like one of those silly lateral thinking exercise, like how you get 5 people in a two-seat car. How to learn the rules without reading them.
