As a client, I have to say that I can't stand it when firms bill my company for their Westlaw/Lexis use, since they're also billing for the time spent doing the research. Whenever my GC allows me, I reject those line items from firm invoices; those firms then, of course, have an added incentive to be efficient in their Westlaw searches.
