Has anyone been rejected by Finnegan this year after a callback? If so, when and how?

Not sure, but I do know someone who interviewed and didn't hear back in the first round of offers, but wasn't dinged yet. Hope yet!

Has anyone heard from Oblon yet since the Loyola Fair? I know they are a boutique firm and take a bit more time than the larger firms, but is it worth following up with them yet?

Has anyone heard from Frommer Lawrence Haug NY since PLIP? Would it be appropriate to inquire or just wait until after their OCI schedule is done?

Ding from Fish. Sent Aug. 16, somehow just now getting here. I wasn't expecting a CB at this point, but I thought the delay meant that I was had survived the first cut, and was on the maybe pile. But nope, that shit went out more than 2 weeks ago.

It's been almost 4 weeks since some of my callbacks. I have not received any rejections. What does this mean?

Probably means you're not their first choice but you still have a chance. They have offers out and can't extend more until they find out whether they're accepted or denied.

Thank you. I guess that's not all that bad.

Yup I got one too. I think some firms have a PLIP quota, so it's a way you can get into firms without competing against the rest of your classmates.

No offers out of it, though I did turn down one CB, am waiting for the results of another, and am about to get on the plane for a third. Got 5 CBs out of it total and grades probably 86'd me at the two I've been rejected from so far. Got looks from places that wouldn't have touched me otherwise and I have a kickass offer from OCI, so if I get one out of these last 2 that'd be awesome, but ok if not. Definitely a worthwhile thing to have done, if only for the interview experience.

3 offers out of PLIP so far and waiting on another post-callback. Most of these firms came to my school's OCI, but I think it was helpful to have screeners with attorneys who were actually in IP. My screener:callback ratio at PLIP was much higher than it was from OCI.

15 screeners, 8 CB's (two of which I canceled), 3 offers so far from PLIP. No post-CB dings yet, but I'm expecting a couple from some early CB's from whom I haven't heard yet.

Only 2 CBs --> 1 offer (still waiting to hear from the other) from the firm I most wanted of the dozen to which I spoke at PLIP, a firm that does not OCI at my school.

My yield kinda blows due to bad bidding (I should've read this thread/forum before bidding, especially concerning class sizes), but all you need is one... and that one happens to be my top choice, so I really lucked out.

Naturally, my answer to whether PLIP is worth it is a resounding YES.

For those with offers from PLIP, are they primarily for prosecution? What about litigation or transactions? For future reference, is it worthwhile for someone to go if they do not want prosecution?

Mine is for litigation, but my background screams litigation.

I was looking for somewhere dynamic and found it. It is definitely worthwhile to go if you're not interested in pros. Fish, K&E, A&B, MoFo, Covington, Crowell & Mooring just to name a few of the firms offering lit.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
