What would you choose if you wanted to get into prosecution? I know the last one seems out of place but would it be beneficial, especially if I was looking at clerking post graduation? The city position is in a rural area and I'm not sure they ever hire post-grad...The county one is unpaid but they hire some of their externs every year and they seem very interested in getting me on, also I would be working on felonies as well as getting my own caseload on misdemeanors......help?
Top 40, top 5%.

Even though it's unpaid, the county job sounds the most legit. It could actually lead to a jerb, and it will be fun to boot. If money isn't a concern, go for that.
I don't really see that state SC gig as a viable option. You already have the stats to land a good clerkship. An externship like that isn't going to be dispositive when you're applying for clerkships.

Thanks very much for this. Yeah, the county job sounds like an absolute blast. The cool part is that the head of the department stayed on the phone with me for like a half hour talking about how great the experience is and how they just "let us go do our thing" and that we will get to do a jury trial and all this other stuff. The city people were very cool as well but they never get to do anything close to felony stuff.
