Top Law Schools

I know this forum's mostly for 1L-3L posters, but i'm trying to get an idea of the general base payrate at nyc biglaw firms' base salaries for entry level paralegals. From posts in the past that I've read it seems to be $40k base. Is this still true? Especially given the economy in the past few years? Has it gone up or down? Any ppl who've been recently hired and willing to share their base salary?

So i understand if people on this forum look down upon people who work as paralegals before law school, but I'm sure that there are still people who have worked. And judging by the 80 something views that this thread's gotten, people are just interested, but not interested enough to reply?

Most people on TLS don't know the answer to your question.

All I know is I got offered a NYC paralegal position with the DA's office at 36k out of ungergrad. So, I think you can assume BigLaw is a bit north of that.

Just b/c we clicked on this thread doesn't mean we know anything about what you are asking. I clicked on it just to hear the number out of curiosity.

An entry-level paralegal, or a project assistant? Project assistants can start for even less. High 30s/Low 40s is about right, I believe. paralegal salaries tend to start low and go up quickly with experience.

Sigh.

just thought that there would be more people who were knowledgeable about paralegaling given how much i've read about it on this forum.
