Beta Blockers

Thinking of seeing a doctor about getting them to combat shakyness/drymouth etc. during interviews. Anyone try them before?

It might help with those things that you're talking about, but it won't help you not look/sound/act nervous. Better to do practice interviews until you don't get nervous, and then you won't shake or get drymouth.

Try .5 or 1mg of Xanax. Works like a charm to help me with my anxiety

This is worse than beta blockers. Benzo's like Xanax will actually make you think/respond slower.

Unless you have a diagnosed anxiety disorder, you'd have to be daffy to take a psychoactive drug before an interview. Beta blockers, however, I'm told can be quite useful if your flight-or-flight reaction works a little overtime and you have racing pulse, drymouth, shakes, etc. in stressful situations.
