Top Law Schools

I was wondering if there was a list anywhere of employment stats for schools that list what % of graduates will be going to firms in the V10/V15? Recent posts about specific firms and the schools represented therein have made me curious about getting a more complete on this issue. I also feel that the #s aren't so meaningful since some schools are so large (i.e. CLS, NYU) that they may appear more dominant than they actually are relative to smaller schools (i.e. Penn, Chicago).

95% of major law firms have attorney directories sortable by law school. Pick a firm, pick some schools, check it out.

Bear in mind that Vault rankings are largely meaningless unless you want to know what the best corporate law firms in new york city (mixed with the best other law firms as judged by corporate lawyers in New York City) are. V15 doesn't really mean anything if you're comparing firms outside of NYC, because it's 10+ New York firms that are great and a smattering of the best firms in other geographies / practice areas, which just isn't that useful of a metric for comparison's sake.

Also, at my school (HYS), there is a very significant percentage of the class who choose a non V10/15 over a V10/15; yield for V10/15s is, I'm sure, better than the average V100 firm, but they do not dominate cross-admits with other V100 even close to the way that law schools do. I don't know if this is the case at other T14s, but at least at my school, the emphasis is on going to a "good firm" (a definition which includes, for most, much of the V100 + a handful of boutiques) with a good fit, and therefore I'd wager that the vast majority of the class doesn't end up at the highest ranking firm they get an SA offer from.

Additionally, because of the lack of V10/15s in some major markets, certain top schools are going to be automatically disadvantaged by using this to rank law schools. Chicago and Northwestern immediately come to mind, as a significant percentage of the class is willing to accept non V10/15s to stay in Chicago, given the relative lack of V10/15s in the city (this probably is the case for Michigan and Berkeley as well, who do not feed as heavily into NYC--where most of the V10/15s are located--as most of the rest of the T14).

Can anyone explain this new V15 cut off? Why include Latham and exclude Wilmer and Sidley?
