How long after an interview until you hear back, typically?

I know it varies. Just wondering if anyone had any personal experiences so I can get some general idea

In my experiences, the rejections came quick and the offers/2nd interviews took time.BarCliff wrote:I know it varies. Just wondering if anyone had any personal experiences so I can get some general idea

It varies. Go twiddle your thumbs or something.
Offer: a) the next day after the callback; b) within a week.BarCliff wrote:I know it varies. Just wondering if anyone had any personal experiences so I can get some general idea
this kinda does make sense - looks like if they need you, at least w/in a week they could let you know. when they say you should hear back from us "w/in the next few weeks", is that a sign for rejection? i would think that is the garden variety response they typically give applicants regardless?truevines wrote:Offer: a) the next day after the callback; b) within a week.BarCliff wrote:I know it varies. Rejections: two-four weeks.
sorry to hear about that, if u don't mind was it via email, snail mail, or call (isn't this way unprofessional lol).BarbellDreams wrote:I generally ask when they think they will be ready to make a decision. My only rejection came the next day but the two I am waiting on said early to mid April.
My rejection email came the next day in response to my thank you email. I actually really appreciated it because my friend who also interviewed with them had to wait 2 weeks. Also, I just accepted an offer from a firm and they called me a week after the interview.Anonymous User wrote:this kinda does make sense - looks like if they need you, at least w/in a week they could let you know. when they say you should hear back from us "w/in the next few weeks", is that a sign for rejection? i would think that is the garden variety response they typically give applicants regardless?truevines wrote:Offer: a) the next day after the callback; b) within a week.BarCliff wrote:I know it varies.
