What is the proper way to note that I am in the top 6% of my class on my resume (one person from top 5% at that). Do I put Top 10%, Top 6%, or just list my overall rank and let them figure the percentile?

GPA = 3.7 (Top 6%) or (6/100) (if you have actual rank)

should work as long as the school told you that you are top 6%. If you are just estimating based on 5%, 10% cutoffs, then you should put "Top 10%" I believe.

Hell, I would definitely put top 6 percent. Once you get to rarified ground like that, it would seem totally unfair to shortchange you and force you to put top 10%. Sure, its not one of those really clean checkpoint numbers like top 10% or 25% but id def put it down. Would I put top 36%? No. But top 6% is a huge deal. Don't make them do the math. Flaunt what you rightfully earned

Our GPA is actually based on a 100 point scale.....so I can't do 3.7 thing. I have the actual rank (6/100 for example), so I think I'll do Top 6% and then list the rank.

you'd put top 6%, just like when people say "T6", it means non-HYS T6, V5 = davis polk, V25 = whatever firm is range 21-25, and the inevitable weird ones when people are all like, "at my V26 range firm..."

I would put the actual numerical rank rather than a percentage. For instance, on my resume I put 6/225.

I saw someone post that they went to a "T15" yesterday- its like hmm which school could that possibly be?
