1L got grades back for 1st semester add to resume?

add grade to resume?

it was above 3.6 and think it will help but none of the samples Ive seen anywhere say to do this

Very confused by this. Are you asking whether you should include your 1L grades on your resume? Uh... ja. I think this is pretty obvious.

Or are you asking whether you should put that you got a high grade in a particular class? If so, then no unless you got a CALI award.

Check with your school's career office. At NYU we are not allowed to put GPA on our resume. This may be because they don't give us a GPA (but it's easy to calculate), but you should check on your school's policy before putting your GPA on your resume.

If your school gave you that specific GPA, of course it should now become a part of your resume. As for jobs you already applied to, email them or send a hard copy letter informing them of your grades.

If it is allowed by your school yes.

If you have a nice distribution I would encourage you to put actual grades:
GPA: 3.65
Coursework: Contracts A, Civil Procedure A-, Property B+, Criminal Law A

However, if your distribution isn't so hot, for example, 2 A+'s & 2 B's, or A, A, A, B- (Esp. in writing) I would just leave the GPA.
