How does this usually go down? Are hours flexible at most jobs or what?

Really depends on the type of job you're looking at taking on. If it's any of the Government agencies, those are 40+ hours a week. Had a friend who worked at legal aid, and that was also 40+ hours a week. Does your school provide summer loans at all?

I coworker at the DOJ was able to take a summer class, so it is possible. Don't know the specific logistics of how it worked. She was a UC Hastings student, but taking a course at Golden Gate I believe (which I think was in the evening after work).
