Has anyone heard anything? I haven't heard a thing....

The deadline was October 15th for applications and they said they hoped to be done with hiring by the end of the year.

Their website (--LinkRemoved--) says:

"Applications will be reviewed within the Department and candidates will be selected for interviews. Those selected for interviews will be contacted and provided with information about the interview process. It is anticipated that interviews will take place before the end of the year. We hope to extend offers before January 1, 2011."

I interviewed for the HP by phone about 3 weeks ago and was told I would be know whether I made it the next round in about a week. I haven't heard anything. That seems to be the same situation on the summer internship board. Anyone else?

same. Though I heard from references late last week (Thursday maybe?) that they had been contacted by DHS. But I've heard nothing since.

any updates out there?

I am the same person as the second poster. I still haven't heard anything since the phone interview.

Would be nice if they told the applicants who did not make the first round cut that they are out of the running. I applied and obviously wasn't selected but it would just be nice if they TOLD us. Lame....

Lame indeed. Any news on the DHS front?

I am one of the phone interviewees who never heard anything. I received another offer, so I contacted one of the people who interviewed me by phone to find out what was up (this was last week). She said that they had already contacted those selected for in person interviews and were expecting to make offers mid-December. Then everyone else would be notified. Sorry to be telling the bad news, but I figured some info is better than none.

Yes, thank you for the news. I think we all wish DHS were more communicative.
