Courses to choose for public defender summer job

I, like all 2L's, am in the midst of deciding on what to take next semester. I have a job lined up with the public defender and I would like to know how important taking Crim. Pro. (investigation and/or adjudication) is for the summer position. Does anyone know or can anyone who has worked with a PD office share how important those two classes are? I'm taking evidence so evidence is not an issue.

Crim Pro/investigation is almost mandatory for every aspect of criminal defense work: 4th amendment case law is a mess, and as a result this is an area of law that is difficult to pick up on the fly. I didn't take Crim Pro/adjudication, and don't feel as if I was at a disadvantage: the basics are easy to pick up from a treatise, and the issues you'll face at the trial level (bond arguments, speedy trial motions) are pretty straightforward.

Thanks. I didn't plan on doing crim. law over the summer, so now I'm desperately trying to intertwine crim courses with the courses I want to take. I don't really want to take Crim. Pro (at least not next semester and not unless I have a full time job offer after the summer job).
Bump for any other thoughts.

If you're going to be working for a public defender - then pretty much every issue you deal with will be covered by either: Evidence, Criminal Investigation and Criminal Adjudication...
I don't really understand why you keep saying that you don't want to take crim pro classes...
