Withdrew. Firm deadlines are annoying. Job > no job, but good luck guys. I'll be jealous of anyone that gets accepted.

Had you interviewed yet, or been selected for an interview?

25-30 minutes
Pretty standard questions (why law school? why DHS?), no surprises really
Interviewers were very friendly and seemed very excited about DHS when I asked them questions
I'm also not fond of phone interviews, but this was pretty painless

I have no idea whether the same people interview everyone.

yup, two of my three confirmed they have been contacted already. Does anyone know if this is a signal that we might move on to the next stage, or is everyone's references being contacted? My interviewers told me the interview would be 15-20 min, and it went 20...pretty standard as well. When do we hear back if they want offers to go out early December?

Thanks. So we are interviewed by 2 people at the same time, right?

Also, is it any different/how is it different from firm interviews?

I'd say it was pretty similar to an OCI screener.

Is anyone else doing an SA? If so, are you still interviewing for the DHS or withdrawing?

I heard that the decision making committee would be meeting this or next week, to select finalists for a second round of interviews.

Thanks. Did you get any sense of how many finalists there will be?

Also, it looks like they took 4 interns last year. Anyone know if it'll be the same this year?

Thanks for all your help.

No idea, but in retrospect that would of been a good question to ask. I do know that there were approx 75 screeners. So if only 4 jobs (based on last year) I would think they would want to significantly whittle the pile before giving callbacks. Again, this is purely speculative. Another thing to note is that there were in excess of 1600 applicants.

Wow, that's more than double last year's applicant pool (~720 if I remember correctly). Well, good luck to everyone.

Wow they only interviewed 75 out of 1600 applicants?

Does anyone know of other ppl in their schools who interviewed and how we're ranked to get that second round interview? Also, if ppl don't mind sharing, I'm curious about your work experiences?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
