any information on this topic? what specifically are they looking for? can having an ordinance violation result in an offer being rescinded?

No, all "ordinance violations" do not involve "moral turpitude". These type of infractions can involve something as benign as placing out your trash/garbage cans on the wrong day--even by mistake.

I agree with DeweyWins, but I remember a specific incident at a law seminar in San Diego where a female partner/instructor was horrified that one of the lawyer attendees carried a beer from the restaurant to a meeting room after dinner. The point is that to her it was offensive & unprofessional. Hopefully your offer is not from a large San Diego Law Firm.
