What are some non NALP firms in Phoenix, Scottsdale, or Tempe that hire summer associates?

in other words, "anyone care to help a carpetbagger steal one of your jobs?"

IDK why you expect UofA/ASU people to help a T14 student get a job over them, but...

Firms that spring to mind as MAYBE hiring 1Ls/2Ls would be:

Tiffany & Bosco (Phoenix)
Rose Law Group (Phoenix)
Mariscal Weeks (Phoenix)
Burch & Cracchiolo (Phoenix)
Jones Skelton & Hochuli (Phoenix)
Cavanagh (Phoenix)
Renaud Cook (Phoenix)
Jaburg & Wilk (Phoenix)
Beus Gilbert (Scottsdale)
Sacks Tierney (Scottsdale)
Davis Miles (Tempe)

These firms range from very solid "MidLaw" shops to firms where I wouldn't ever want to practice.

TYVM, care to elaborate as to which ones fall into which categories?

P.S. General Tso, there are like 3 native Arizonans in the universe. Go back to the south.

Mariscal Weeks is probably the pick of that bunch - they're ranked in Chambers for both general commercial litigation and real estate. Burch & Cracchiolo, Sacks Tierney, and Beus Gilbert are all solid. I haven't seen much to impress me about Tiffany & Bosco, Rose Law Group, or Jones Skelton. Cavanagh Law Firm is the remnant of traditionally one of the best Arizona firms (O'Connor Cavanagh) but I haven't heard much about this iteration and I don't know if they hire fresh graduates.

One boutique firm to look at would be Coppersmith Schermer & Brockelman. I don't know much about them but they have a surprising amount of elite pedigree for an Arizona firm.
