Alright, do people ever work as a summer associate and then work for fed gov for a couple weeks after the SA without officially "splitting" the summer?Bosque wrote:Yes. They are almost universally unpaid though.
Second, I would like to know the answer to that as wellAnonymous User wrote:Alright, do people ever work as a summer associate and then work for fed gov for a couple weeks after the SA without officially "splitting" the summer?Bosque wrote:Yes. They are almost universally unpaid though.
Which agencies hire for 3-4 week periods?
I am very curious about this. My SA is 10 weeks, leaving 4-5 weeks at the end. I already worked at USAO my first summer, but would love a 4 week internship with an agency.Bosque wrote:I worked at the USAO for four weeks during my 1L summer, so I know at least they will let you do that. Probably depends on the office though.
Not really an internship if you are only there for 4 weeks, let me tell you that right now. I have the line on my resume, but I did almost nothing there. 4 weeks is just not enough time. If you just need to kill the 4 extra weeks, might I suggest observing in court? Just go down to the court house and watch trials. Or enjoy the time off. 4 weeks is not going to make a difference. Might as well enjoy some semblance of a vacation, since (hopefully) it is the last one you will have for a good long while.Anonymous User wrote:I am very curious about this.
