I'm curious - whats the difference in vault rank between the highest ranked firm you got an offer from, and the firm you ultimately accepted an offer from?

Firm I am going with is not even ranked, whereas the highest ranked was a V20. That said, the firm I am going with is a boutique. So it is really apples and oranges. And oranges are just too delicious for rankings.

No. I'm curious to see if people actually take vault rankings (and the quality that supposedly represents) into account when they pick firms.

Picked non-Vault (not a boutique) over V5 and V10.

vault = inferior to chambers. I would much rather base my decision on where to work on what clients/partners think than based on what a bunch of NY associates think - especially in secondary markets.

Sorry about your being shut out of the V10.
