No response to thank you note after callback

I sent an email thank you note after a callback last week and haven't received a response. From everybody's experience, is this bad or does it not matter?

Does not matter; from my experience, most interviewers don't respond.

does not matter...most interviewers in every field do not respond to thank you notes.

You gambled and you lost. Either the interviewers are annoyed by your cluttering their inboxes or there was a typo in your note. Either way, you are screwed.
