Shearman by a mile, Schulte has a limited practice while Shearman has many areas you can try, you really don't know what you like until you practice it, at Schulte you'll be stuck in hedge funds for the most part, at Shearman you can experiment and find out what suits you best.

I can sit and be amused by my pack of Shearman mints for dozens of seconds, even minutes. Shearman by a lot. Schulte is everyone's back-up firm if they strike out everywhere else.

Shearman.
Schulte is a good firm, and above poster is right, its a great place to get a job and definitely something to be proud of, but Shearman is a better firm for both broad Transactional work and Litigation.

NYAssociate, are you saying that Shearman is no longer better or that they no longer have perks?
