Waiting to make offers?

Is it normal for a law firm to wait to interview all candidates from a particular school before they extend any offers following a call-back? I know this sounds like a silly question, but I have heard of many firms making offers on a rolling basis, so I was wondering if waiting is customary practice or a bad sign. Thanks!

It depends. I bet a lot of firms will wait on Harvard since they're all coming in this week. Firms with smaller classes might need to wait to see everyone just because there isn't any flexibility on how many offers they give out. Firms like S&C do on the spot offers religiously so it doesn't even become a factor. Other firms won't even be interviewing more than one candidate from a given school so it will be a non-issue.

Good point. I'm hoping it is just because of the smaller class size.
