can you be reimbursed by a firm if you book a flight on your own rather than through a firm?

There is a spot for this on the NALP form, but you may want to get the "okay" from someone in the firm's recruiting office beforehand.

Has anyone gotten a reimbursement back yet? I submitted a two a couple weeks ago and have not gotten anything.
