shook hardy bacon is tops for products liability and has a strong patent group and offices in sf. not too sure about soft ip.

New York firms tend not to do product liability litigation.... mostly complex commerical litigation. Philly, however, is where all the product liability litigation takes place due to many pharmaceutical companies being incorporated there and its reputation for being plaintiff friendly. If your really into products liability, I would suggest looking into some firms in philly such as Dechert or Pepper Hamilton.
