This seems to be the thomas cooley of law firms. But what is so bad about it? Why do people make fun of the firm?

better than it was before:

Dibb Lupton Alsop merged with Piper Cary Rudnik

I think 'dla piper' is a masterpiece coming from that.

Classic McFirm franchise with way more offices than it can support. Avoid.

I had an interview during OCI with dla piper - dude could not have been less interested in me. Yawned constantly. I felt he was about the check his blackberry at any moment. It wouldn't have been a good fit for me, and it's possible they had already id'd their callbacks, but still.

They didn't even come to CLS EIP. They're coming in the fall to OCI after most people have already made decisions. Hope they enjoy the leftovers.

Many of the "leftovers" I know are smart and interesting people - DLAP would be lucky to have them.

That said, I suppose the "ENJOY"ment goes both ways.

I must be the only person at CLS who doesn't know someone with no CBs. Huh.

Everyone I know has/had callbacks, but there are a bunch of post-CB strikeouts.

Well then, I sincerely hope there is the much-hyped second wave of callbacks so most won't have to resort to OCI.
