Top Law Schools

I just recieved my (almost) final rejection letter in the mail today. Let's do a wrap-up where everyone landed with the amount of CB's (and offers) they are at. I'll Start:

-18 Interviews
-GPA is below 176 (bottom 1/3)
-4 CB's (2 V50, 1 V75, 1 Boutique)
-Targeted Chicago
-Prefer Transactional Work
-No Offers Yet

I will update as offers begin rolling in, or fail to begin to roll in.

-20 interviews
-GPA is roughly top 35%
-8 CBs
-Targeted Chicago and one secondary market
-1 offer so far, 3 more CBs to attend

Bump and tagged.

People got crazy when I posted in the last OCI thread, but I will go ahead and put a couple things out here:

1. There were people posting anonymously in the last Chicago OCI thread who were from a law school other than UofC, and I don't want people reading these threads to get the impression that they are at all accurate, thanks to anonymous posting;

2. I am unsure of the value of even posting your problems here anonymously, because no one can PM you to privately give you any advice on how to proceed. Odds are, after some legwork, you'll pick up something pretty good (hell, you already got callbacks from some impressive places, so you are on the right track). All you are really accomplishing here is memorializing a moment in time before things ultimately work out. It doesn't do you or anyone else any good.

3. I am a Chicago alum. One of many you should be contacting at this point. If you are serious, you need to stop being ... I'll say it - an anonymous wuss whining on the internet - and do something.

I don't care what your grades are from Chicago. I don't care how bad you think the economy is. You can exploit your position and get something great. Maybe not exactly what you had envisioned, but a competive job with great options that only the top 5% of law students across the nation gets even a shot at, and straight out of law school.
