Please tell me anything you know about this firm that I could not find by using Google.

"Overy" is pronounced "ovary," not "awe-very"
Also, they love the abbreviation "A&O," even in conversation.

Which office did you apply? New York, London, or Hong Kong?

CCN Student Here -- I received a callback the day of my on-campus interview (late-August).
I'm interviewing with them next week. I tried to get an earlier callback, but they insisted on interviewing the week of September 27th. It seemed pretty late to me, but I'm not going to push the issue.
Has anyone already had their callback / heard back?
Thanks!

Offer 3 business days after CB. Cool place, liked them a lot, and if you want an international flavor or a desire to work overseas or at least travel overseas definitely the place to go in NY. Nice people as well.

Did you accept?

no, did not accept. haven't given final word yet, but probably not going to. Nothing personal at all against the firm. I liked them quite a lot, but probably going to accept at a NY based firm, because that is my interest. Like I said though, I think it is a great place, but I am lucky enough to have a few options.

I had a CB there the first week of September. I really didn't like the firm. One of the litigation partners told me they didn't have any mid-level assoc because everyone kept getting married and having babies. He went on to say "we hate them for that." I probably should have left right then. The rest of the interviews were just boring to me, I didn't click with the firm and I'm really ok with that.
Rejection via snail mail 2 weeks after CB.

hahahaha...wtf?
I didn't get to the callback stage, so I can't comment on callbacks. However, during the screening my interviewer asked to see my transcript first thing, which is against OCI policy, and then spent the next 20 minutes asking me questions about classes I took.

have an offer there outstanding. Probably gonna take it, as I gel-ed well with the interviewers and really would like to use my foreign language in my profession. Seems like the place to be.

Interviewed about a week ago... Does the non-response likely mean a ding?
What have other response times been?
Any idea when the hiring committee meets?
