how strong is Gibson NY. I know it's now their biggest office but how does it compare with DC or LA across the board?

I agree that GDC isn't as strong in NY as LA or DC, and that Boies might be preferable for lit, but the NY lit department isn't too shabby. GDC NY is primarily handling the Chevron litigation, and did the Bloomberg term limits litigation. It also split the bulk of the Intel-AMD antitrust litigation with DC. Two of the three litigation co-heads are in NY, and they recently brought on 4 white collar partners.
I guess what I'm trying to say is it's definitely legit to suggest you should take BSF over GDC NY, but I think it's closer than some people are making it out to be.
