Suppose I start out at a midlaw firm in a tertiary market--it's the best firm in that market--and i want to lateral after 2-3 years to a midlaw firm in a slightly larger market that's say 4 hours away in the same state. How feasible is that generally?

Let's clarify, 4 hours with or without traffic?

say 250 miles away, and the target lateral city is the only really large city in the state.
