Interesting callback
CB at a big firm. Went down like this:
1. 20 min. normal interview w/ partner
2. 30 min. intensive discussion of Writing Sample
3. 30 min. intensive legal analysis/strategy session regarding fictional case w/ 1 partner and 1 Associate
4. Lunch w/ Junior Associate
I was totally unprepared for this, and could not have possibly come across as an intelligent human being. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Re: Interesting callback
this seems atypical. my CBs have been a lot like EIP, just with longer, slightly more personal conversations.

Want to know, too. Have one CB at a firm that seems likely to do this sort of thing...Pablo Ramirez wrote:Which firm?

What about DC people?MBskier wrote:Know the firm and it's my top choice so I don't want to out it. Had my callback and exact same format.
NYC people need not worry.

you first. im paranoid about outing myself. mine was pretty silly, as well. and i was woefully underprepared, totally screwed it up. i walked out of there and a million obvious things dawned on me. pretty sure im not getting an offer there. how do you think you fared?

I also don't want to out the firm b/c the format is so unique and I don't want to risk outing myself in the process. But MB is right, NY'ers need not worry.Anonymous User wrote:OUT THE FIRM, dammit.

Re: Interesting callback
Just give the city of this firm so those of us with CBs there can be generally terrified?

Re: Interesting callback
I had a similar experience in a screening interview, thought I did terrible, and ended up getting a callback. I wouldn't be too worried about feeling like you did bad, because I feel like after something weird like that everybody is unprepared and comes out of it feeling bad.
