On the second thought, this appears credited.legends159 wrote:not so subtle bragging![]()
I believe '(not so) subtle bragging' captures the point of this thread.Anonymous User wrote:
What's so mysterious about that? Did it really require its own post? They're pretty upfront about their system.
How did your "friend" get a callback without understanding that Cravath hires summers into specific practice groups? They're pretty proud of that.ZXCVBNM wrote:my question is...more specifically...if you are undecided about your practice area how could you go to cravath? Disclaimer: I don't have a callback there. A friend who is in this situation and doesn't go on these sites asked me and I said I'd have an answer in an hour. So far...not so much. So if you're undecided should you not go there? Do they split summers?
Internet credibility is everything.ZXCVBNM wrote:And why would I brag using an anonymous persona when no one even knows who i am? pretty weird right? anyway...who cares the reason just answer the damn question.
Well, then your friend needs to flip a coin and make a choice.ZXCVBNM wrote:man you get slammed for overusing anomymous posting and then you don't and you get killed. my "friend" just said they liked everything so far and would be interested in both groups....and also had good grades

This.OperaSoprano wrote:This is seriously unnecessary. I am acquainted with the OP, as his former classmate. As you can see from his post count, he's been around for a while, and did not come here to troll or to brag about anything. A lot of people are probably undecided as to the choice he has to make. I know I am lucky I don't have to make a decision like that on the spur of the moment, but then I am in no position to be anywhere near Cravath. I realize OCI sucks and is a time of tension for everyone, but this is a considered plea for peace. I am happy his interviews have gone well, and wish the same for everyone else ITT.
not necessarily. Others ITT have cb at cravath and we are just pointing out the cravath system of rotations. it does seem like bragging to start a thread titled cravath when so many out there are freaking out about employmentseespotrun wrote:This.OperaSoprano wrote:This is seriously unnecessary. ITT: Jealousy, not bragging.
Nah. The thread, in retrospect, got to be a bit of an unnecessary pile-on. But I can think of at least five ways to ask fundamentally the same question without it sounding like bragging.seespotrun wrote:This.OperaSoprano wrote:This is seriously unnecessary. Ok. ITT: Misplaced frustration.Renzo wrote:Nah. The thread, in retrospect, got to be a bit of an unnecessary pile-on. Cravath isn't a good gig for someone who's unable to decide between corporate and litigation work, and it surprises me that anyone called back to interview wouldn't have figured that out.
