That firm is in for some disappointment when they realize someone on Stanford Law Review probably isn't going to be working for a V25 in Silicon Valley.

They glorify the kid's [?] credential as if they've never actually met someone on the [?]. Must be quite the TTT firm.

While I'm sorry the event went awkwardly for you, at the same time, I think it's fairly clear that the place isn't the sort of environment anyone would want to work at. I mean, that's almost Three Stooges' levels of incompetence right there.

This too.

Also, what kind of Partner, let alone several of them, openly discusses how "phenomenal" another applicant is? It's almost as if they've never done an OCI process before...like they're children telling someone else how "super-awesome" one of their new toys is.

OP here, yeah, I mean, it didn't make me feel bad about myself per se, I think I should've just gone to Stanford and done their Law Review, this seems to get them interviews.

Oh wait, I didn't get into Stanford, and I wouldn't've made law review there if I'd made it in somehow anyway.

Hmm. lol

Are we talking "The Valley" as in Palo Alto, or "The Valley" as in Burbank?

Ouch, sorry to hear about that. I think you are right to edit the story, though, since it is not at all clear to me it was a ding. This could even be a weird form of stress-interview.... maybe there WAS NO [redacted] student from [redacted] interviewing there at all! Perhaps it's all a ruse to see how you deal with institutional frustration? Perhaps, as in the screening test from Men in Black, they wanted you to take the initiative, refuse to be pushed off, march up the partner, and proudly proclaim your strong points!

... Or, maybe "life's as simple as it looks / love may triumph in the books / Not here."

It could have been that they were play-acting. Did you ask them who the other person was so that you could look him up on your smartphone?
