Sorry, no -- but I did get rejected by Hunton the other day. So maybe you're still in the running?

Re: Penn OCI
Anyone hear anything in the last week or so from any of the following (all DC):
Goodwin
Baker Botts
Fried Frank
Sutherland
Wiley
I know people have heard from these firms since OCI. Just wondering if there has been any recent news from any of them.

Any offer news?
BTW, did anyone get a Winston & Strawn callback or rejection? I don't remember if anyone posted in the thread about it.

Anyone care to estimate what % of people ended up with market paying (for whatever market) firm gigs? CP&P says that like 75% of 2L's work for firms but I am a skeptical panda.

At what point do you stop throwing good money at bad prospects?

Which one of the idiots in CP&P told you that?Veyron wrote:Anyone care to estimate what % of people ended up with market paying (for whatever market) firm gigs? CP&P says that like 75% of 2L's work for firms but I am a skeptical panda.
That math doesn't make sense. More than the bottom 1/4 is not getting firm work this summer, and that doesn't take into account people above bottom 1/4 that don't want firm work to begin with. And there's no way those are all market paying firm jobs.
Honestly, I don't know anyone that doesn't think CP&P sucks ass.

CP&P is awful. I was having trouble finding a 1L summer job, so I stopped by. Their advice? "Apply to more places." No shit. That's why I was there -- I wanted advice on WHERE to apply. So I said that. Their response? "Uh... judges? Firms? I don't know, just apply to everything you see."Anonymous User wrote:Which one of the idiots in CP&P told you that?Veyron wrote:Anyone care to estimate what % of people ended up with market paying (for whatever market) firm gigs? No one should get paid for that.

Varily, is it that difficult to get a 1L summer job? I've been holding out for better but perhaps I should accept the one offer I have in hand soon.Anonymous User wrote:CP&P is awful.
