how do you interview at other places, without it getting back to your firm? Idk if that's good advice for OP. That sounds risky, especially .... wait for it .... Well, if they have given you an offer, they cannot rescind it because they heard you were interviewing. So while you shouldn't go telling them you are interviewing other places, you are fine so long as you accept by the deadline. If they have not given you and offer yet, then they shouldn't care. You would be stupid to just wait around in that instance, and they know it.IzziesGal wrote:how do you interview at other places, without it getting back to your firm? Sure they can. At will employment.Well, if they have given you an offer, they cannot rescind it because they heard you were interviewing
Would they do that? That seems harsh given you're not doing anything unethical.nealric wrote:Sure they can. At will employment.Well, if they have given you an offer, they cannot rescind it because they heard you were interviewing
No, they are required to hold open the offer for a certain ammount of time once they have given it. Don't remember if it is NALP or the ABA which makes them do it.nealric wrote:Sure they can. If they found out you were interviewing elsewhere you don't think they would find one of those "other reasons" to rescind your offer?!?!Bosque wrote:No, they are required to hold open the offer for a certain ammount of time once they have given it. They can rescind it for almost any other reason, but not because you took too long to respond or are considering other potential offers (at least not before the deadline).
