Been wondering how others did?



We were allowed to submit 60 bids. I only submitted 27 bids, but got 24 interviews. Focused on non v10 New York.

got 20 interviews all in nyc...why did you only bid on 27 firms?

i also focused on non V10 firms

does anyone know the likelihood of getting a spot off waitlists? or picking up more interviews from the swap board?

Out of curiosity, what was your class rank? Yours was a very successful bidding strategy, it appears.

Penn is all lottery, so class rank doesn't matter for bidding. And at all lottery schools, a safe assumption would be more interviews = bidding on firms that are less popular and/or conducting more interviews.

22 interviews - all but 1 in NYC. I used almost all of my bids on New York firms and tried to focus on firms that had increased their Penn interview slots from last year.

Well, rank can play a role, assuming intelligent bidding; there are lots of V10, etc. slots that not everyone should be bidding on.

Right. People with the class-rank to carry off V10, etc, won't have to compete with the plebs for interview slots at those firms.

On the bid lists in Symplicity, for the firms I don't have an interview scheduled for, there is a button that says opt in. Anyone know what we are "opting in" for if we click it?

Transfer student from outside the T30, ended up with 20+ interviews. Cautiously optimistic that transferring was the right choice and hoping that a couple of the firms bite.

I think that's to go on the waitlist with the firm though the waitlist period is over now I believe right?
